Sustainable fashion using unique textiles

Mindful fashion and sustainability is at the very core of everything we do. We give careful thought to using materials that have a lower impact on the planet — a ‘natural’ plus point of this is that you get to experience one-of-a-kind fabrics like banana cotton and real silk satin!

Avoiding virgin synthetics, our clothes use significantly less water than conventional materials. We use natural dyes to further lessen our environmental impact. Predominantly, we use natural and biodegradable fabrics, upcycling at least 30%. This includes materials like bamboo cotton and luxury Indian pashmina. Our eco-friendly fashion gives Pare Baana attire an unctuous drape and skin-feel.

Discover the journey of eco-friendly materials

At Pare Baana, sustainability is not just about wearing eco-friendly fashion; it’s about embracing the stories, culture, and heritage woven into every thread. For instance, have you ever wondered about the fascinating journey of the eco-friendly materials we use?

  • Banana cotton, derived from the strong and versatile fibers of banana plants, has been cultivated in India for centuries. The traditional techniques of extracting and weaving this unique fabric results in its softness and durability. The handcrafted process ensures that each piece of banana cotton is distinctive for a truly one-of-a-kind garment.

  • Indian pashmina is sourced from the soft undercoat of Himalayan goats. The artistry of hand-spun and handwoven pashmina is a labor-intensive process that produces the luxurious and lightweight fabric adored worldwide.

  • Corduroy at Pare Baana is sourced from carefully selected cotton, known for its durability and softness. It is then weaved and finished it to precision by local artisans, resulting in its distinctive ridged pattern.

  • Bamboo Cotton is sustainably sourced from eco-friendly bamboo fibers and high-grade cotton.
